Always deactivate USB debugging on your Android device. This function is normally deactivated by default on all smartphones and must be consciously activated by you.

More information

If no development options are visible in your settings on your Android device, USB debugging is probably deactivated. USB debugging makes it possible to connect a smartphone to a computer via a USB cable and execute commands or exchange data. This allows you to install and uninstall apps, recover data or install new operating systems via USB, for example.

However, USB debugging also has a large attack surface. You should therefore always leave it deactivated.
