People who have to flee to women's shelters, who are affected by stalking or who are exposed to digital violence often experience so-called Advanced Persistent Threads (APTs). This means that they are repeatedly subjected to attacks in a variety of ways and with a lot of energy over a long period of time. The perpetrators often come from their immediate or former environment. Simply not using the smartphone cannot be a permanent solution here. This can lead to withdrawal and social isolation. It is better to be aware of the dangers and actively work on them so that you can continue to participate in social interaction.
Every threat situation is different. This list can therefore only contain non-binding suggestions. Some of the things mentioned here may not apply to you. If you are in acute need of help, you can contact the HateAid counseling for victims or the Frauenhauskoordinierung in Germany, for example.
